How do I get started ?
Once you are a Kiss Telecom Customer you already have all of the details you need to login to the smsQ computer based SMS service. Please read the following brief instructions carefully:
Access the smsQ service
Click on the "Send an SMS" link at the left or on the drop down SMS menu above.
On the Signin page, Fill in your allocated Userid and password and hit the Sign In button. The system will now require you to change your password with a minimum 6 characters.
Send an SMS
Key in your message, e.g. "This is a test from "your name" in the Message box. Select the Destination box and key in your mobile number (no spaces). At bottom of screen, hit the “Send SMS” button. Your message is now sent. Check your mobile and you will see your first SMS message.
Replying to an SMS
On your mobile phone, SMS Reply to your received test message with text, say, “OK test” and hit the “Send” button on your mobile phone. On smsQ, go to Inbox/Replies and you will see your SMS Reply message. Click on the message and you will see the related sent SMS message.
Some Useful Hints
When sending SMS messages to your customers or staff via your PC, you are using a shared SMS Sending Number just like a fax number. Therefore, always identify yourself in the SMS, e.g. "regards, Jane, ABC Co".
There is no need to use cryptic short-forms for your SMS. Forget your mobile phone! On smsQ simply use your keyboard and say what you want to send your SMS professionally.
